Two Wrestling Websites to Check Out

Almost 3,000 and by the end today hopefully, we will be able to say over 3,000 fans can’t be wrong. I think if you are a fan of this blog and check it regularly to find out what is hot in wrestling gear, one place you need to become a fan of is http://www.facebook.com/wrestlinggear it’s our facebook fan page and you don’t have to be a member of facebook to check it out. We try to have fun with the page and do a little selling too. Over the summer we talked about all the hot shoes and which ones you’d better buy sooner than later. Every now and then we will do a promotion or a giveaway to our fans.

Another site that we have been putting a lot of work into is http://www.wrestlingshoes.com - we plan to dedicate this to the wrestling shoes of the past, present and ideally future. Surely as soon as adidas, Nike, Matman and Asics make available future shoes we will shoot them and have them available to check out. In the off season, we will look to build our photos and pages of older wrestling shoes of days gone past. We do have some old pairs of shoes that we will shoot and likely will work with our vendors to try and build some of that history…especially looking to continue to shoot the older shoes in a variety of angles to give you a great image of that shoe.

Wrestling Kneepads Funky?

Do you get funky kneepdads?

Here are some things to consider - one is check out a product we sell - http://www.wrestlinggear.com/store/skincare-wrestling-products/1186-Odor-Aid.html it was being sold to football teams to spray their shoulder pads and other funky equipment. Think of it as a strong Fabreeze with added benefits of killing some bacteria and other stuff.

Now the key is to not get those kneepads funky to begin with. Left those bad boys out of your locker every day and don’t just bring them home and let them sit in your dark bag. Let them babies dry out and air out a little bit. And I say this not because I sell kneepads, but get a few pair and rotate those kneepads regularly don’t let the funk build in them.

Same concept for your shoes and your headgear and basically all your clothes. Don’t be like my wrestling team that used to have competitions about how bad their workout shirts would smell. Heck in colleges and camps at those colleges they tell the kids to bring another shirt and shorts to change into between practices breaks.

Here are the results, we watched the Division I finals with a different prespective. We were checking out what the finalists were wearing. If you just watched the D1 finals, you would not think that adidas, Brute or Matman offered head gears or that adidas and Nike are not that dominated by ASICS. Not that ASICS does not sell a lot of wrestling shoes with us, but wow they definitely were featured in the finals.

Tornado Head Gears - 4

ASICS Rulon Wrestling Shoes - 8 pair

Nike Inflict Wrestling Shoes - 5 pair (We’ll have them next year)

ASICS Supreme Lyteflex - 1 pair (Gone)

Top Wrestling Shoes

Top Wrestling Shoes Sales

So far ASICS Wrestling is winning the war with more sales then adidas wrestling in the past 6 weeks or so.

ASICS is winning the war with lots and lots of SKU’s to match adidas high performing individual colors. If you take a look at our wrestling shoes pages - adidas wrestling shoes and ASICS wrestling shoes

ASICS has lot more SKU’s that are selling well. The top selling wrestling shoe for ASICS is the Rulon Wrestling Shoe in Black and Red.

The top selling adidas wrestling shoes are the White adistar wrestling shoe and the White Super Response. Look for the White adistar wrestling shoes to be in short supply this season. They are flying off the shelves and we have already received phone calls with parents hoping and praying we had a particular size in stock. This usually means, they will be in short supply during the season.

The White Super Response just made our threshold for being considered a top selling shoe. I think part of the problem with this shoe is it has been updated with better material and does look cool when you see it in person, but it looks online about the same as the Response line that sell for $15 less. This shoe will have to be seen and sales will probably raise drastically on this shoe.

Something we have not seen in a while is it looks like the Tornado Headgear will have some competition this season. Some of it coming from it’s own company with the Twister head gear and some of it coming from the new adidas adistrike headgear from adidas wrestling. Don’t think this is the first headgear from the guys at adidas. The same people that run adidas wrestling have been making headgears for years under their Brute name. The Tornado is still the top dawg and probably will still be this season.

New Asics and adidas Shoes Live on YouTube

We created a couple of brief videos on the new Asics and adidas Shoes that you can check out. The first one the Adistrike just shows the Adistrike. The other two Asics and adidas show all the new shoes for the 2007-2008 season along with estimated prices and availability.

Also, I say in the Asics video that we are only going to show the high-end new shoes, but I decided to include them all…

Share the link with your friends that might want to check out the new shoes. Let us know if you like the videos and if we should keep doing them. If they get a lot of views, we’ll keep featuring the new products on YouTube…
