WRESTLINGGEAR.COM ANNOUNCES GOLF OUTING TO CELEBRATE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Elmhurst, IL – April 1, 2008 - WrestlingGear.Com is planning a golf outing and fundraiser for July 29, 2008 at White Pines Golf Club in Bensenville, IL. WrestlingGear.Com will be celebrating its 10 year anniversary during 2008. In 10 years, WrestlingGear.Com has grown to one of the largest Internet/Catalog based stores in the country.

Money raised at the golf outing with support two organizations - the first is The Smile Train, an organization that helps kids and their families repair cleft lips. The owner of WrestlingGear.Com's son was born with a cleft lip. The second organization is still being finalized, but will be an Illinois based wrestling organization.

"This is going to be a great event and celebration 10 years in the making. We already have many of the top wrestling organizations in the country and the state behind this event. Not only will it be a great time, but we will raise money for kids with cleft lips and another Illinois based wrestling organization.

Spring 2008 Session - THE FUTURE STARTS NOW! Expanded to a 7-week clinic

Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays: April 14th to May 28th (Monday, May 26 workout will be on Tuesday, May 27)

Please Note: There are no restrictions this session as to how many wrestlers from the same High School may attend the same workout. Regular competitions will be scheduled.

Time: 7:00 PM to 8:30, Mondays & Wednesdays

Location: The Ken Kraft Wrestling Complex in Anderson Hall, Northwestern University: 2701 Ashland Avenue, Evanston Illinois

Parking: North End of East Lot, just east of Northwestern’s Football Stadium on Central Street

Clinicians:

• Jake Herbert: World University Games bronze medalist, NCAA Champion at NU, 3-time NCAA All-American, Big Ten Champ; currently taking an Olympic redshirt year
• Tim Cysewski: current Northwestern University head wrestling coach, Iowa All-American, 5-time Midlands Champion, Freestyle National Champion
  
• Drew Pariano: current Northwestern University assistant wrestling coach, former head wrestling coach at Cornell College, and 3-time NCAA qualifier for Northwestern University
• Mark Massery: NCAA champion, National Freestyle champion & 4th place at World Championships

  • Group and individual instruction
  • Freestyle, Greco Roman, and Folk-style technique and mat strategy
  • Technical instruction on takedowns, escapes and pinning combinations
  • Drill matches
  • There will be live wrestling
    

The Athletic Director at Millikin University has made
the decision, with the approval from the Vice
President and President of the University, to not
continue to have wrestling at Millikin University. The
Athletic Director has explained that Budget, Title IX,
Number of Wrestlers, Success of Wrestling Team, or
Success of Coaches is not the reason to drop the
Program. She has also explained that she would be
willing to explain her decision and discuss her
decision with anyone that is interested. She explained
that the reason for dropping the program was of one
reason. She said that because of lack of Full time
coaches, and lack of Wrestling Facilities on Campus,
and no plans for either in the future she believes
that wrestling at Millikin University should be
dropped for lack of commitment from the university.
The University is currently searching for a new
Athletic Director and the decision was made by an
Athletic Director that resigned in January and is
staying as Athletic Director until the University has
made a decision on a new Athletic Director. The
Decision to drop the program was made some time ago.
So the Athletic Director knew before many families and
wrestlers spent time and money to visit Millikin
University and she allowed those families to spend
their time and money to come and visit Millikin
University with the knowledge that the wrestling team
would be dropped.

Keep in mind the Ultrateks are going to be pre-sold probably starting in middle to late March. They will have limited availabilty through out the country but we will have an alotment for our store...be one of the first to own these in the country...
